World Tournament Itinerary

Day 6:
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning another exhibition game is schedule in the city of Ljubljana against the U14 National team. Precise game time to be advised. Subject to when this game is played we will have the afternoon available for an excursion into Italy to the city of Postojna (about 120 km).
As an alternative we could visit the famous 'Adelsberger' grotto, the second largest stalactite grotto in the world (extra cost $30.00 per person). Subject to weather conditions there are other points of interest - that Robin knows.
Dinner and overnight in Bled
Day 7:
Breakfast at the hotel. Leaving the hotel we travel via Kranska Gora (a famous winter sport center on Slovania where we could view the 'Planica ski - jump'. Shortly thereafter we pass the border back into Austria again, travel passed the town of Villach (in Kaernten) and for the rest of the day we travel through some pretty spectacular Alpine scenery. Lunch is planned somewhere en route. Before we arrive in Zell am See we pass through the massive 'Hohen Tauern' alpine mountain tunnel. We plan to arrive early enough so that everyone can have an orientation of the lay out of the town before we check-in.

Day 8:
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is the first day of the XV World tournament, all arrangements are organized by the Salzburg Ice Hockey Federation and Hockeyworld. A separate sheet outlining the tournament regulations can be obtained from your coach. During the next three days each team with play 6 games (consisting of 2 x 15 minute periods), at first in the preliminary rounds and then in the final rounds. Team standings are determined by the Round Robin system; Win 2 points, Tie 1 point and loss 0 point. The Minor Bantam grouping consists of 4 groups of 4 teams each; in other words 16 teams. A list of the teams or groups may be obtained from the coach.
